At the bottom right is the name of John Steven McGroarty, author of the play, also in blue ink. A title page at the beginning has the name of a former owner of the book at the top in black ink. This latter page is followed by photographs of the San Gabriel Mission and McGroarty. Included are sections dedicated to a description of the play; a description of the Mission Playhouse; a play synopsis by acts; two of McGroarty's poems entitled "The King's Highway" and "Just California"; and a section on the California Missions. Many black and white photographs are also included.
