Color: Green; Red; Yellow
A stereoview or sterograph called "The Orange Pickers, Los Angeles, California," by B. W. Kilburn, 1895. The colored photographic image shows five men, four mounted on wooden ladders next to orange trees and one standing on the ground. Several crates of picked fruit are posed on the ground and other empty crates lay scattered throughout the scene. The identification number "9981" and the title are at the bottom right, the copyright date and photographer's name is at the right edge, and on the center or reverse is "Photographed and Published by / B. W. Kilburn - Littleton, N. H." There are some scribbled pencil marks on the upper left of the back, as if a child doodled on it. In fair condition, the artifact has abraded, creased, and dented corners, fading of the color tint, some stains and soiling on both sides, and small tears on the top left corner of the front.Lexicon
