Description

Color: Black; Gold "The Principles of Flower Arrangement" by Edward E. White (New York: A. T. De La Mare Company, Inc., 1926), 225 pp. A hardcover book with a black cover and gold lettering, with the title and author's name across the top and on the spine. On the bottom center of the cover is a gold silhouette design of what looks like a small potted palm. On the left side of the first page is writing in black ink reading, "Ivy Lee..." with the rest not discernable. The book has eleven chapters on such things as the decorative value of flowers and plant material; receptacles for flowers and plants; Japanese flower arrangements; shape and color harmonies; church, hall, reception room, and table decorations; and flowers for personal adornment. Many black and white photographs, color tinted photographs, and a color chart accompany the chapters. With abrasions along the spine and dented corners, the book is in good condition.
