Entry/Object ID
2012.423.1.1
Description
"The Protective Savings Mutual Building and Loan Association Item," 1 January 1898 (Volume One, Number 18.) The four-page newsletter has a holiday message, statements about establishing savings accounts with the association, encouragement to take a loan for housing from the entity and an endorsement from businessman and treasurer of the State Loan and Trust Company of Los Angeles, H. J. Woollacott, about the success of the Association, which formed in early 1896 and folded in 1907. There are dog-eared corners, small edge tears, a horizontal half fold, and light soiling, so the overall condition is good.
