"The Quarterly, Historical Society of Southern California, Volume 19, Numbers 1-4, 1937," printed by Ward Ritchie. The green clothbound book with speckled paper has gold printing on the spine including the organization name and publication year. The three publications are bound inside, including the original wrappers, and are page-numbered consecutively. Number one (March 1937) consists of 39 pages, and includes an editor's page and three articles. Number two (June 1937) consists of 47 pages, and contains an editor's page and two articles. Numbers three and four (September-December 1937) consists of 51 numbered pages, including six articles, including one describing a Society field trip. While there were no fold-out illustrations, the numbers are liberally illustrated. On the inside front cover is the ex-libris label of a former owner. With little evidence of use and, therefore, of wear, the artifact is in good condition.Lexicon
