A real photo postcard of the rear yard of the Sue M. Allison residence, Los Angeles, ca. 1910s. The back of the house with wood shingled siding, casement wnidows (some with striped awnings), and a brick chimney, is in view. There is also a patio cover linking the house to the garage at the far left and Mrs. Allison sits in a suspended swing with her dog. Small trees, bushes and shrubs, a path and lawn with a sprinkler running are also in view. The house, at 154 S. St. Andrews Place, still stands with much of its architectural detailing intact. There is an ink inscription on the reverse of the postally unused card, noting some landscape features. With some rubbing, soiling and minor wear to the image and album paper on which it is pasted down, the condition is overall good.
