The 23-page softcover item has the title at the top of the front cover in blue letters with an image below of a salad bowl, utensils, and salad fixings (banana, lettuce, apple, orange, and Best Foods mayonnaise.) The same design is on the back cover, as well. On the inside front cover is a description of the booklet by the head of the service. Following is a description of the role of salads in the diet and different salad dressings made from Best Foods products. From page seven are recipes for vegetable, meat and fish, and fruit salads and sandwiches. There are also descriptions of Best Food products on pages eleven and twenty-two. A coupon for free booklets on company products and a quantity guide for using Best Food items in salads and sandwiches are also included. Illustrations include color drawings of dishes and one black-and-white photograph of Best Food products. There are some materials adhered to the center of the back cover, and light creases, stains, soiling, creases, and corner dents on the cover, but the overall condition is good.
