Description
The Sears, Roebuck and Company building, Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, ca. 1927. The view from Brown Brothers is from across 9th Street, soon renamed Olympic Boulevard, and takes in the front elevation of the nine-story mail order distribution center and retail store located west of the intersection with Soto Street. Cars are parked in front of the edifice. A pencil inscription and Brown Brothers stamp are on the reverse. With corner losses, a crease at the upper left, slight warping, light browning and soiling, the condition is good overall.
