Description

"The Song of Optimism," words by R. J. Shoemaker and music by Dr. Royal H. Crist, published by the Los Angeles Optimists' Club, 1917. The cover has a bright image of an American sailing ship in the ocean with the sun, having the word "Optimism" within it, setting or rising over the horizon. On the inside cover are the names of the president and secretary-treasurer of the organization. The score, written in allegro tempo, covers three pages. With the item separate and with much edge damage, losses, creases, browning, and an acid shadow on the back, the overall condition is poor.
