Description

"The Story of Hollywood," by Mary E. Croswell, issued by the Hollywood Board of Trade, 1905. The pamphlet, issued before Hollywood was annexed to Los Angeles and before the arrival of the film industry, gives a booster-like summary of the community, its history, and its attributes, accompanied by many photos of the rural town. At the back are lists of town and Board of Trade officials, and general information. The wrappers have much creasing and edge rubbing, and there are some tears. Pages are creased, but clean, so the overall condition is fair.
