"The Survey," 5 July 1913 (Vol. XXX, No. 14,) published by Survey Associates, Inc., New York. The "weekly journal of constructive philosophy," had Jane Addams as an associate editor and, among its articles on "the common welfare," and "editorial grist," is one of "The House Courts of Los Angeles" as a alternative to poor housing conditions in the city and which has several photos accompanying it.
