Description

"The Temple Herald," issued by Temple Baptist Church, Los Angeles, 27 June 1915. The item lists pastors, assistants, offciers and has program information for morning and evening services, as well as other church offerings and notes. On the cover is the church building, erected in 1906 on the site of Hazard's Pavilion (built 1887), which the church had leased. The Temple Auditorium was leased for Clune's Auditorium from 1914 to 1920, while services were still held there. The building then became the Philharmonic Auditorium and was used as such until 1964. The building was razed in 1985. With stains, soiling, edge tears, creases and folds, and edge rubbing, the condition is fair.
