Description

Postcard: A black and white postcard of "The Wigwam", a juice stand and gift emporium on Foothill Boulevard in Arcadia, ca. 1920s. Spanning the width of the card at lower center is the thatched structure with two conical sections on the roof at left and center. In front are a number of wicker pieces of furniture. At right is a parked car and a few persons posed near the furniture. Faintly seen in the building is more furniture and tables with baskets on them. In the background at left is open land against the slope at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains which has snow at the top. At background right are some homes and trees. The original photograph has labels identifying the structure and location. The unused card, purchased from Mark Kittinger is in fair condition with some discoloration and stains at bottom front and the edges of the reverse. None
