He wears a sombrero, cape, and charro outfit which has elaborate stitching on the jacket sleeves and front pockets, as well as down the pants' legs. There are also designs around the sombrero's brim. The man is mounted on a white horse at the right and faces to the left. He also wears a charro suit but with a straw sombrero. The outfit is velvet with elaborate stitching at the front of the jacket, the wrists, and down the pants' legs. Both horses are fully equiped with leather gear. The ground is covred with hay and at the back of the right is another white horse and a parked automobile. Behind this is part of a wooden structure with a pitched roof. Stamped at the center of the back is, "ANDERSON / Photo Service / EL MONTE." At the bottom right corner is the number, "2."
