A black and white studio portrait of Thomas Temple, 1923. He stands at the center with his body turned to the left and his head turned to the camera. His hair is slicked back, he has his left hand on his waist, and his right hand holding his coat's lapel. In his right hand he holds a cigarette and wears a ring on the ring finger. Thomas wears a dark suit with a white shirt and checkered bow tie. A white handkerchief is in the coat's left breast pocket. The photographer's mark, which is inscribed in pencil at the bottom left just below the image, reads, "Carolym McCann / Gledhill 1923." The image is mounted on brown cardstock. Written at the top left of the back in black ink is, "Thomas Workman Temple." With light creases, light soiling, and a small tear, the artifact is in good condition overall.
