Description

THOMAS W. TEMPLE AND GABRIELA TEMPLE AT MISSION SAN GABRIEL, SEPTEMBER 1971 Color: Color A color photograph of Thomas W. Temple II and Gabriela Q. Temple at the commemoration of the Yuma Massacre, held at Mission San Gabriel, September 1970. The two are standing in front of a high plastered wall and there is a gate with a cross on it partially visible to the right, as well as a portion of a man standing next to the gate. Part of a flowering vine is also seen at the top. Mrs. Temple is at right wearing a short-sleeved print dress of yellow and white with lace cuffs on the sleeves. She has a mantilla with red and yellow flowers in it and has a chain and medalion around her neck. She carries a light colored purse in her right hand. Mr. Temple wears a white ruffled long-sleeved shirt; diamond-patterned neutral-colored vest, brown or burgundy-colored cummerbund, dark-colored trousers and shoes, and a black flat-top hat. He holds some papers in his left hand, has his right-hand on his hip, and looks away from the camera. On the reverse is a stamp from Kodak with the date November 1971 on it. There are no indications of major wear or damage, just a little curving of the paper edge, so the image is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
