THOMAS W. TEMPLE AND GABRIELA TEMPLE, CA. 1952
Color: Black, gold, purple, yellow, white
A color photograph of Thomas W. Temple II and Gabriela Q. Temple, probably at the Pioneer Reception for La Fiesta de San Gabriel, early September 1952. The two are standing in a courtyard at the Mission San Gabriel next to a fountain with a grape arbor in in the background. Mrs. Temple is at right wearing a full-length short-sleeved purple dress and black mantilla with red flowers along the crown. She has her left hand behind her back and her right hand at her bosom. At left is Mr. Temple wearing a white ruffled shirt, neutral-colored vest with diamond patterning, dark trousers, brown shoes, and holding a drink in his right hand and a cigarette in his left. There is a shadowing on the upper right right edges of the image, possibly from being framed and there are pieces of tape on the edges from its mounting. On the reverse is a stamp indicating that the print is a Kodachrome enlargement and giving the date of printing as 19 March 1953. With an impression on the lower left and the tape remnant, the image is otherwise in good shape.
