Description
THOMAS W. TEMPLE II AND UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN NEAR THE WATER TOWER
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of Thomas W. Temple II and an unidentified woman on Evergreen Lane near the Water Tower, ca. 1924. Temple is at right and wears a black suit, white shirt, and a black sweater or vest, and black tie. He has his left hand in his jacket pocket. The woman, at left wears an ankle-length dress with a ruffled lower section, white collar and puffed sleeves extending to the elbow. Behind the two is a wire fence, behind which is a planter filled with shrubs and bushes. In the background left is part of the eastern section of the Workman House. At the far right background is a section of one of the dressing rooms near the swimming pool. The Water Tower is just out of view to the left. The shadow of a person in the foreground indicates an afternoon time for the taking of the image. On the reverse upper left is the stamped number "101." With water damage on the edges of the top and right, a few creases, and overall discoloration, the artifact is in fair condition.
