THOMAS W. TEMPLE II AND WOMAN AT ENSENADA HOTEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of Thomas W. Temple II and a woman nearan entrance to a hotel in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, ca. 1929. The two are at the left with the woman wearing a light-colored knee-length dress with a dark-colored belt and a dark-colored sweater and Thomas wearing a dark-colored weater with the letter "D" (for Dummer Academy, where his brothers attended school), lighter-colored trousers, and dark-colored shoes. In his hands, held in front, he has a dark-colored hat. Behind them is a very large entrance, probably arched with one portion open to the right. Through this opening is an archway in the background. Beyond this may be a courtyard, but there is construction equiipment and a hose or pipe running through the open door. Two steps lead down from where the pair are standing. The hotel was a venture partially financed by Walter Temple. While there are some surface stains and soiling, especially at the lower right corner of the front, as well as discoloration on the reverse, the object is in good general condition.
