Description

THOMAS W. TEMPLE II IN MEXICAN COSTUME, CA. 1923 Color: Black; white A photograph (a) with folio (b) of Thomas W. Temple II in Mexican costume, taken at Stewart studio, San Jose, California, ca. 1923. The image shows Thomas seated in a wood chair dressed in a Mexican costume of a dark colored with embroidered trim and, on the trousers, brass balls. He has on a white shirt and dark narrow length tie. A sarape is tied around his waist and he wears light colored socks and dark colored shoes. One of his hands rests on the arm of the chair and the other holds a cigarette. The photographer's imprint is at the lower right, giving the name only. The folio is a textured paper with a narrow-line border on both flaps, but no identifying information. There is very light discoloration and some kind of stain, perhaps from a liquid, on the photo, which is in fair condition and some minor wear on the corners and a scratch mark on the lower left front of the folio, which is in good condition.
