Color: Black and white
A black and white portrait photograph of Thomas W. Temple II, ca. 1909, taken by Allan W. Ramsey of Whittier. The oval shaped photo glued onto a board shows Temple in a profile view standing next to an ornate wood table. He has a striped sailor's suit; dark hose and shoes; and wears a dark colored bow in his hair. His right hand, probably holding a bunch of flowers, is resting on the table and his left hand is at his side. Embossed in the board around the photograph is a floral design border. At the upper left is the photographer's logo with his imprint at the bottom right. On the reverse in former curator Carol Crilly's hand is, at top right, "293 / Donation / ..brary" and at the bottom center, "Thomas Temple / gift of Gabriela Temple Sutter." There is a water stain at the lower right of the board and some minor discoloration, but the object is in good condition.
