Description

THOMAS W. TEMPLE II SITTING ON MISSION SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO FOUNTAIN Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Thomas W. Temple II seated on a fountain at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, ca. 1927. Wearing a light colored shirt and tie, darker colored slacks and shoes and holding a black-brimmed light colored hat, Temple is seated on the lip of the stone basin of the fountain. Behind him are the dark colored spout and decorative bowls. In the background is a wall with three arches, within which are bells. The wall is covered in vines. At the left is a wall of a building with some of the vines growing on it, as well. Next to the wall is a planter bordred by large stones, with shrubs and bushes growing within. The area around the fountain and in the foreground appears to be paved with stone. On the reverse lower edge is the stamp of the developer reading "ANDERSON / Photo Service / EL MONTE." At the top edge of the front is some significant water damage with remants of mounting corners at the corners. With this damage, the artifact is in fair condition. Number-Units: 1
