Description

Color: Black; white A black and white reproduction photograph believed to be of Thomas Workman, brother of William Workman, ca. 1855. The image shows Workman from the upper torso up and wearing a dark-colored suit with white shirt and dark cravat or tie. The back of photo reads in pencil "William Workman/fur trapper and trader/ Taos, New Mexico/from daguerreotype/ca. 1855", on lower part notice from the Museum of New Mexico, with negative number 13492. Although the photo is labeled William Workman, this identification is clearly wrong and can only, alternatively, be his brother, Thomas (1802-1884). The image is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
