Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of three women on some exterior stairs of a hotel in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, ca. 1929. The three are posed on the stairs with one seated on the wall at the highest point. She wears a dark-colored sweater and light-colored dress. The woman in the middle appears to be partially seated on the wall and wears a dark-colored bathing suit with a white belt. The third woman is at the lowest point and is standing facing the other two and turned away from the camera. She wears a white dress or skirt and blouse. Part of the building, which was a hotel partially financed by Walter Temple, is around the group, including a portion of a tower. A few windows, one of which has nine panes of glass and some of the red-tiled roof, are also notable. While there are some surface stains and soiling, as well as discoloration on the reverse, the front looks relatively free of wear or damage, so the object is in good general condition.
