Description

"To-and-Fro in Southern California," Emma H. Adams (Cincinnati: W.M.B.C. Press,) 1887. The travelogue presents information about the trip the author took to the region three years previously. The early portion of the book details the trip west with the section about the Los Angeles region coming from chapter eleven onwards, including a chapter on the native Californians, her visit to the niece of Pio Pico, seeing a flower festival and other ruminations on the area. Though the boards are soiled, rubbed and bumped, the binding is very tight and pages clean, so the overall condition is good.
