2000.97.1.1Description
Color: Black; White
A catalog issued by Todhunter, Inc., ca. 1920, offering metalworked products. The item is one piece of paper folded into thirds. On the front cover, the company name and its address is at the top of the center with lists of products on either side, including letter boxes, house numbers, door knockers, bell brackets, foot scrapers, and chimney irons. At the center and bottom are an offering of sundials, including a short description of the product. A model name, brief description, size and price are accompanied by a black and white photograph of the item. The second page shows photos of nineteen types of foot scrapers with model numbers. Page three has images of five types of mailboxes and their offering of house numbers 0-9. Eleven types of bells, including one that appears to be electric are on page four. Model numbers, dimensions and prices for the mailboxes, house numbers, foot scrapers, and bells are at the center and bottom of page three. Twenty-eight types of door knockers are on page five, with the model numbers, dimensions, and prices at the lower left corner. The back page shows silhouette drawings of eight kinds of chimney irons with their model names, dimensions and prices at the bottom, below which is the company name and address. The item was folded in thirds horizontally and there is a tear on the upper fold, there is significant surface soiling and stains, and many creases, so the artifact is in poor condition.Lexicon
