"Touring Topics," April 1929, published by The Automobile Club of Southern California. On the front cover is the publication title and date at the top. Below is a painting of cypress trees on the coast at Monterey. At the bottom are titles of four articles in the issue and the cover price. Over part of the title is the remnant of a mailing label. Contents include an editor's page; editorial; a rotogravure section; and articles on how the states were named; the southern Nevada desert; the first California boundary; a biography of a California notable; Auto Club activities; and part of an 1876 account of southern California, among others, including a review of California-related books. Automobile-related advertisements are throughout and there is a reference section of automobile-related areas, such as service stations, hotels, and district offices of the Auto Club, at the back. With spine brittleness, creases, cover soiling, page browning, folds at corners, losses at the bottom of the spine, staple tarnish, and small tears; and page yellowing and browning, water damage, and stains along the bottom of pages, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
