Color: Black; Blue; Brown; Red; Yellow; White A color postcard of the Mission Play entitled, "Tragedy of a Broken Race, Third Act," ca. 1920s. Many actors dressed as Indians walk across the center, many with their heads down, and four at the right carrying what looks like a stretcher. Two men and a woman look on at the right of the back. Across the background is a set that consists of an arched wall, some of which is broken at the left of the center, trees, and palms. The backdrop behind the set has a green mountain, at the top of which is a white cross, and blue sky. The title of the image is at the top left while at the right is "MISSION PLAY, SAN GABRIEL, CAL.," all in black ink. On the center of the back is the name, location, and logo of the Pacific Novelty Company. At the top right is a square box for postage. The artifact was found within an envelope, which is item .1, along with more postcards that are items .2-.3 and .5-.11. The object is in good condition with only minor abrasions at the corners.
