"Transactions of the California State Agricultural Society during the year 1885" (Sacramento: State Office, James J. Ayres, Supt. State Printing,) 1886. The item lists directors and officers of the board, reprints the 1880 legislative acts that made the Society a state institution and established agricultural districts throughout the state, reprints its constitution, and provides the full report for the Society and individual district reports. The fair for the sixth district, including Los Angeles, is also reported upon. There is a loose print of the State Agricultural and Industrial Exposition Building tipped in at the front. With pages clean, but the boards soiled and edges bumped, the condition is fair overall.
