The 56-page book has a paper cover with a pink, white, and brown drawing at the top of a man and a woman working in a garden. At the top center of this is a stamp with the name and address of the Posten Hardware Company. Written at the top left in red is the number, "15." Across the bottom of the cover in red and white letters is the title. On the back is a listing of the gardening merchandise sold by the company. At the beginning of the inside is a request to customers and a title page. There are many articles dealing with garden cultivation covering subjects like soil; garden care; insects and plant diseases; pruning; planting; and vegetables. At the middle is a vegetable planting chart and throughout are many black and white illustrations. At the back is a chart of flower and garden plants. With abrasions; brittleness of the cover; creases; folds; surface soiling; and tears, the artifact is in poor condition.
