"Twentieth Annual Report of the Board of Public Service Commissioners of the City of Los Angeles," issued for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1921. The front cover has the title and, above it, an image of the city's public works building. There are stamps and other idenitifiers for a previus owner on both covers. Contents include a roll of commissioners and their terms of office, including Boyle Workman, photos of the 1921 commissioners, a reproduction of the letter from the board to the City Council concerning the issuance of the report, reports concerning water of Chief Engineer William Mulholland, his assistant, the chief mechanical engineer, the superintendent of irrigation, the superintendent of the meter and service department, the office engineer, and the biologist, and data on distribution system aspects. For the Bureau of Power and Light, there are reports of the chief electrical engineer, the right of way and land agent, and financial reports by the controller. There are photographs of public works projects throughout the report, as well. With spine rubbing, cover acid burns, creases, dents, soiling, flaking, losses, particularly at the center of the front, moisture damage, stains, and tears, as well as page yellowing and, on a few pages, foxing, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
