Description

Two conductors inside a streetcar trolley, assumed to be in Los Angeles, 1899. One man sits on the upholstered bench at the back left, while the other stands at the right. A clock is above the door to the conductor's area, ads are placed above the benches, electric lights are in the ceiling, and the windows are backlit with sunshine. On the reverse is an ink inscription: "1899 / Jos. L. Uhl / at right." With light soiling and rubbing to the scalloped-edged matte, the condition is good.
