Color: Black; White
A black and white reproduction photograph of two views of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1925 and 1929. The two original photographs were copied and the background from the copy work is visible. The top image shows Agnes Temple and another woman, possibly Connie Roca cousin of Louis Fatjo, standing next to the front wall of the house, ca. 1925. Both wear white knee-length dress with Agnes facing the camera and the other person looking over the wall. Just to the right of the two is a section where the wall was broken, with some of the rubble at the extreme lower right on the ground, for access into the front yard of the house. Behind them is La Casa Nueva under construction. The plastering work is completed as can be seen around the front door and patio wall; the tile roof is complete; and doors and windows are in. There are two workers on a scaffold on the west side of the incomplete master bedroom balcony. The lower image shows the courtyard of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1929. This date is derived from the heavy growth of the banana palms and other plants and the completion of the fountain and walkway to the Tepee. At the front right is what appears to be a goat. At the right can be seen part of the second floor patio. With little indication of damage or wear, the artifact is in good condition.
