Description
Two men in a control room at the studio at the KNX radio station, Witzel Studios, Los Angeles, 26 June 1925. The image shows the two seated at a table and posed with pens poised on a large document, perhaps a newspaper. Behind them are several large pieces of equipment, presumably for transmission of radio programs. A few unadorned lightbulbs hang from the ceiling and there is a metal fan atop one of the equipment units. A pen inscription over the "newspaper" reads "A token of friendship / to "Dad" Allen / Van of KNX / 6/26/25." At the bottom right is the photographer's cartouche and the Witzel Studios stamp is on the reverse. With some heavy stains on the bottom and reverse as well as edge rubbing, the condition is fair.
