Description
A carte-de-visite of two men in Los Angeles, California. ca. 1872. The man seated is identified as Peter Thompson. He sits on a tufted velvet chair with tasseled fringe, wearing pants, shirt, vest, and coat. Another man is standing behind Thompson with his right arm resting on the back of the chair. He also wears a three piece suit, and pocket watch. At bottom are names of Sunbeam Gallery in Los Angeles and photographer, H.T. Payne. With abrasion damage, stains, and overall discoloration, the object is in fair to good condition.
