Description

Two men with an airplane at the National Air Races and Aeronautical Exposition, Los Angeles, 14 September 1928. The view is a closeup of Harry Howland and a man named Emil standing against or next to the fuselage, on which is an advertisement for Union Oil Company's aviation fuel. At the far right is another man near the front propeller. Emil's ink inscription gives the date and notes that he and Howland flew in the plane that day. With soiling, but little other wear, the condition is good.
