Description
Two persons sitting on a bench at Coronado, California, 1905. The elderly man and woman, dressed in dark-colored formal wear, sit on the wooden bench along a dirt path at what may be the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean. Some structures are discerned in the distance. On the reverse is a pencil inscription reading, "For Mother / Snapshot taken by James / the first day M & I were able / to venture out of doors after / our illness." This refers to the fatal illness of Elizabeth Olive Mary Fraser, who died 29 January. With some soiling, the condition is good.
