Description

TWO-SIDED CLASP PIN FOR HERBERT HOOVER'S PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDACY, 1928-1932 Color: Blue; Red; White A two-sided clasp pin promoting the candidacy of Herbert Hoover for President, 1928 or 1932. The pin has tricolored fields on each outward facing side, with red at the top, white at the center, over which is the candidate's name in blue capital block letters, and blue at the bottom. On the inside, which is difficult to read, because the pin is largely closed shut, are the name of the manufacturer, Green Duck Co. of Chicago, and stamps of the unions which manufactured the pin. In fair condition, the facing sides of the pin have scratching, with one side worse than the other, and the lettering on the inside is generally faded or scratched away.
