Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of an unknown man and woman on a porch, July 19, 1930. The two sit on a bench with the man on the left. He holds binoculars up to his eyes and wears a hat, long-sleeve shirt, dark trousers, and boots. The woman is on the right and leans forward with her elbows resting on her lap. She wears a hat, flower-pattern dress, and high heels. A dark coat is on the bench to the far right and underneath is a sleeping dog. The bench is against the wall of a wood building which has a sash window on the left and a screen door at the right. The porch floor is at the bottom with several planks stained and cracked. On the back is a stamp with a bear design that reads, "GENUINE KRYSTAL GLOSS / GUARANTEED FOREVER / JUL 19 1930 / BEAR PHOTO SERVICE." The photograph was housed in Agnes Temple's album, which is item 96.7.94.1, along with many other photographs, which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With light stains along the top, the artifact is in overall good condition.
