Description
A stereoscopic photograph of two women at the west side of Hotel Alvarado, Westlake Park, Los Angeles, 18 September 1927. Taken from across Alvarado Street, the image shows the pair by a power pole, behind which is a section of the Moorish structure and, to the left, is a rear garden for the complex. A man stands near a large black sedan parked at the curb at left. An ink inscription on the reverse reads: "Hotel Alvarado with / Garden. Western exposure/ from Alvarado St. / Los Angeles / Sun. Sept 18-1927." At the lower left is written "Cordelia Weir / Mother / G.M.G." With curvature, light soiling, minor edge rubbing, and some browning on the reverse, the overall condition is good.
