Description
A stereoscopic photograph of two women on the sidewalk in front of Hotel Alvarado, Westlake Park, Los Angeles, 11 September 1927. Taken from the sidewalk just to the west, the image shows the women near steps flanked by light fixtures and which lead to the courtyard entrance of the Moorish style structure. The sidewalk, landscaping and portions of buildings down the street in the background are of note. An ink inscription on the reverse reads: "At the Hotel Alvarado / front Entrance - looking west / along Sixth Street/ Los Angeles / Sun. Sept 18-1927." With curvature, light soiling, minor edge abrasions, and some browning on the reverse, the overall condition is good.
