Description

An unidentified jazz band, by Witzel, Los Angeles, 1920s. The group portrait shows ten men in tuxedos standing near their instruments laid out on a three-legged table and on a wooden stage, including drums, an upright bass, a tuba, banjo, clarinet, saxophones (soprano, tenor, and alto), a cornet, a violin, a trumpet and others. The photographer's mark is at the lower right and stamp is on the reverse, but no identification of the members or the band name. With pinholes at the corners, small missing pieces of the lower corners, and light soiling, the condition is good.
