Description

Color: Black; White A photograph of an unidentified Los Angeles street, ca. 1900. The photographer stood on one side of the street, which has horse-drawn conveyances and an electric streetcar on it, as well as some pedestrians, of whom some are on the sidewalk. On the opposite side of the street are buildings ranging from one to ten stories, the latter of which has a clock tower atop it. Power poles, store signs, flagpoles, advertising signs, and other material are of note. On the reverse are two pencil inscriptions: the number "36" at the right of center and a letter "B" at the upper right. Aside from light soiling on the back, the artifact is in good condition.
