Description

UNIDENTIFIED MAN STANDING NEAR A BUILDING ENTRANCE Color: Black; White An unidentified man standing next to the entrance of an unidentified building, ca. 1928. The older man, wears a light-colored three-piece suit with a white shirt and dark tie. His left hand is in his pants pocket and he holds a dark-colored hat in this right hand, held down at his side. Behind him is the doorway, which has rather simple wooden doors, but an elaborate surround with a Moorish-looking arch, floral designs, columns on the side and a thick cornice. A sidewalk extends from the doorway towards the photographer and there are hedges along the wall on either side of the entrance. On the reverse enter is the penciled number "38." There is a long crease from the top edge to the bottom right corner and the top left corner is dogeared. Some surface soiling is throughout, so that the artifact is in fair condition.
