Description

"Union Oil Station 488, 1928." The image shows the two-pump gas station appears to be the southeast corner of Beverly Blvd. and Lafayette Park Place in Los Angeles. Two men are standing arm-in-arm in front of the station structure and are identified as "Cooney" and "Ed. Flannigan." Portions of three roadside billboards are behind the station and there are also partial views of nearby residences. Information is inscribed in ink at the upper right of the photo and in pencil on the reverse. With album paper residue on the reverse, soiling, some ink stains and light edge rubbing, the condition is good.
