A stereoview of Universal City Studios, Keystone View Company, ca. 1925. The image is taken from the hills where the current theme park and City Walk area are located and shows the studio compound, including sound stages, backlots and other structures. In the distance are agricultural fields and orchards and a dirt road, Lankershim Boulevard, heading north into the San Fernando Valley. The hill in the foreground has chaparral and small trees, but no indication of a built environment. In the horizon are, through hazy skies, some mountains. At the left margin is the publisher's name; at the right are company locations; at the top is the number "233"; and at the bottom right is the identification number "V26385," caption of "Universal City, Where Motion Picture Films / are Made, near Los Angeles Calif." On the reverse is several paragraphs of text about the motion picture industry in the Los Angeles area, as well as some information about the city. With dents at the top of the back, light soiling at the top left of the left-side image; scratches on the images; and a light stain at the top left of the left-side image, the condition is good.
