Description

Color: Purple An ambrotype photograph of an unknown man, ca. 1860s. The uncased image is on a dark purple glass and on the edges of the paper, on which the positive image is, are remains of material that comprised part of the case. The man is young, seemingly in his twenties, wearing a faint goatee, with dark-colored hair. He sits and wears a dark-colored three-piece suit, white shirt, and dark colored, striped cravat. His right hand is placed flat horizontally across his chest and his left hand lays on his lap. Aside from the remains of the material from the case and chips from the glass, the artifact is in good overall condition. Number-Units: 1
