Description
A snapshot of Valencia Avenue, then Olinda Boulevard, Olinda Oil Field, Brea, California, 29 March 1916. A portion of the car in which the photographer rode is at the lower right and the road stretches into the distance before veering right into Carbon Canyon Road. At the left in the foreground are a series of structures along the road, while in the distance on and below the hills are oil derricks and structures. The date is inscribed in ink at the lower left. With residue from album paper on the reverse, the condition is good.
