A real photo postcard, "Valley Blvd., El Monte, Calif.," published by Douglass Caulkins, ca. 1930. The image is taken from the middle of the street and shows the two-lane striping, many cars parked alongside the street, and a variety of commercial structures, including markets, restaurants, and shops. At the bottom right is the caption and identification number "E-2." The reverse has the words "POST CARD" in Art Deco-style type at the top center. Below is the publisher's name and location. At the bottom left is a note that the left side was for correspondence and, at the right, a similar note for the address. With only very light corner rubbing, minor darkening, though heavier at the edges, and some small, light stains at the corners and top edge of the front, the condition is good.Lexicon
