Description
VENT AT SOUTH END OF EAST WING OF LA CASA NUEVA BEFORE RESTORATION
Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of the vent at the south end of the east wing of La Casa Nueva before restoration, 28 February 1979. The view is from the east, with the south wall of the wing at right. The vent is at center with the white plaster top having a damaged corner next to the wall and the wood frames and screens needing replacement, though these areas are too dark to see the actual damage. In the background are some of the landscaping, including a small tree and some bushes. At the bottom of the artifact in green ink is the inscription "To be Repaired with New / Screens & Frames / 2/28/79." Near this is a pencil inscription reading "South East" indicating the location of the vent on the house. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
